11 Nov 2016 – Certified Welding Inspector Level II (BV-CWI) Course & Certification
In collaboration with Bureau Veritas (M), AMW Technology had successfully conducted a 5-day Certified Welding Inspector Level II (BV-CWI) training and certification course.
The course includes
- Role and Responsibilities of Welding Inspector (WI)
- Material Behaviour during Welding
- Welding Processes, Symbol and Construction
- Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Record (PQR)
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Destructive Testing (DT) before, during and after welding.
15 & 22 Oct 2016 – Welding Workshop Training for Curtin Mechanical Engineering Students
AMW Technology Sdn. Bhd. has conducted two separate sessions on 15th and 22nd October 2016 pertaining to hand-on cutting and welding awareness workshops for a total of 18 Curtin University engineering students who are members of Curtin-IMM Student Chapter. This includes cutting plates to the required sizes, surface and bevelling preparation by manual grinding, and also joining these joints by welding using SMAW process. Students are encouraged to work both independently and in a team to correlate to the demand of actual industrial practices to the relevant welding code, AWS D1.1 structural requirements. Our welder trainers have meticulously guided and supervised these two groups of engineering students in order to ensure learning efficiency.

21st June 2016 – Welders Qualification Test and Certification (WQT)
AMW Technology has recently hosted a Welders Qualification Test (WQT) at their very own specified welding facility - which consists of up to 12 welding bays that are sufficiently equipped with all the necessary welding equipment required for the qualification test. Serving as a conducive welding platform throughout the years, AMW Technology has successfully collaborated with several professional assessment bodies which are registered with the Department of Safety and Health (DOSH), such as BV and DNV, in organizing these qualification tests so as to ensure the quality and legitimacy of the certification process.
31st March 2016 – A 3-Day Welding Fabrication Awareness Course For Technical Personnel
AWM Technology has successfully conducted “A 3-day Welding Fabrication Awareness Course for Technical Personnel” for a total of 16 Sarawak Energy technical personnel (including technical managers, field engineers, supervisors and inspectors) from 29th to 31st March 2016, venued at AMW Technology Training Centre, Lot 908 Jalan Desa Senadin 1A, Off Jalan Maigold, Senadin Industrial Estate, 98100 Miri, Sarawak
